Submitted 3 years ago By SA From NYC, NY I'm really surprised at how nice and full the tone is on this uke. I'm a guitarist, primarily, and my wife bought me this set as a gift. I'm lucky to have several professional quality guitars, and I expected this to be a bit of a toy; not true! The tone is full and balanced, and it projects a surprising amount of volume considering its small body. Easy to play straight out of the box, no work required. A friend of mine spent $700+ on a custom-made uke, and I've had multiple people tell me this Kala sounds better than that one.
