NOTE:
This is a TERM appointment (not-to-exceed 1 year and 1 day). Term appointments are non-status, nonpermanent appointments of limited duration. Term employees are eligible to earn leave and generally have the same benefits as permanent employees including health and life insurance, within-grade increases and Federal Employees Retirement System and Thrift Savings Plan coverage. Term appointments may be extended without further competition. There are four (4) positions in Human Resources which can be filled at the VA Medical Centers in either Phoenix, AZ.; Gilbert, AZ., Long Beach CA., or Los Angeles, CA. Creates/maintains filing systems and files a variety of documents. Uses office automation equipment and software. Updates/maintains any type of manual and/or automated log. Uses scanner to scan various employment documents. Uses software such as electronic mail to receive and transmit messages. Assists with the on boarding of new employees utilizing USA Staffing, Web HR and quality review of the eOPF. Accurately enters data over a long periods of time. Receptively processes electronic document uploads. Effectively performs repetitive scanning of documents over long periods of time. Work Schedule:

GENERAL
Experience:
At least one (1) year of general experience that has equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of a Human Resources Assistant. General experience is defined as progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates your ability to perform the duties of this position. OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR
Experience:
Successfully completed two (2) years of education above the high school level for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must have been obtained at an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school. Experience:
Equivalent combination of successfully completed post-high school education and general experience, as described above, which meet the total qualification requirements for this grade level. A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
