Coordinating and Scheduling monthly briefs and meetings with staff and facilities executive leadership. Attending and transcribing minutes of meetings and following up on action items assigned to members. Arranging participation in VISN and national level conferences. Working closely with members of VISN 22 boards, committees, and councils in coordinating meeting dates and travel schedules. Maintaining an active role in studying requirements regarding staff distribution, redesign or structure of the organization within the Network Office. Ensuring an adequate stock of office supplies are maintained at all times. Managing all incoming executive correspondence. Responding to inquiries and administrative problems brought to the VISN executive leadership team, VA Central Office, State and Local governments, other hospitals and organizations and other Federal agencies. Performing clerical and technical work that results in the bi-weekly or monthly determination of pay for civilian employees. Performing clerical and technical work for employee travel. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-07 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Utilizing a variety of software programs including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; manages incoming correspondence, mail, letters or calls and routes to the appropriate staff; maintains exclusive control over leadership's calendar; perform clerical and technical work to ensure accuracy of data submitted to payroll; assists employees with travel arrangements and ensures information for funding is accurate; performing other administrative duties such as coordinating meetings and schedules; maintaining policies, procedures, manuals & guidelines; preparing various documents and correspondence and interpreting and analyzing data from databases and sources. OR, Education:
Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or two (2) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B., J.D. in a related field of study that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this Program Specialist. This education must have been obtained in an accredited in an accredited college or university. NOTE:

A combination of successfully completed graduate level education (beyond the first year) and specialized experience, as described above, which may be used to meet total experience requirements for this grade level. Physical Requirements:
The work is primarily sedentary however some duties may require standing, walking, bending and carrying light weight objects. The incumbent will typically work in a well-lighted office environment. Use of phone, computer equipment and software typical to a business environment will be required. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
