Self Storage Consulting Group (SSCG) is the leading provider of self-storage third party management, and we have an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Virtual Site Manager at our remote facilities.
Summary:
Responsible for assisting Area Managers, and answering the roll-over phone calls for the facilities in the assigned area.
Trainer assures that facilities are inline with established goals and objectives, provides necessary remote training and support to assist Area Managers with employee and facility performance.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Process new hire documentation and orientation and coordinate with the human resources department - (Lead VSM only) Follow and adhere to new hire training processes as outlined by Operations handbook.
Understand and excel in all processes and support facility staff in their roles.
Assess facility performance and review with Area Manager Identify continued employee development and communicate requirements with Area Manager or District Manager.
Reiterate and follow up with policies, sales and processes continuously with facility staff Remotely cover facilities when necessary to ensure operational performance Additional tasks and projects as assigned by upper management Adhere to department guidelines and meet deadlines Review facility budget and expense with Area Manager on as needed basis Answer and manage incoming/ outgoing phone calls for assigned facilities.
Back-up additional facilities as required.
Support Area managers with administrative documentation and coordinate with corporate department managers under the direction of the Area Manager.
Understand and be able to explain a legal lease agreement for storage units.
Qualifications:
Demonstrate ability to apply processes and procedures correctly and consistently.
Be flexible and able to multi-task.
Use appropriate levels of intervention when managing difficult remote facilities.
Excellent in oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other required software as directed.
Excellent communication skills over the phone.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time at the designated work Education and Experience Requirements:
At minimum 1 year experience in training.
Working knowledge and experience in property management or big box retailer At minimum 1 year experience in sales Strong coaching and counseling skills to guide and develop individuals
