Summary:
Highly experienced and focused R&D systems test engineer with a strong background in all varieties of drivetrain and energy storage system testing and validation.
Background in HV system functional quality testing, CAN communication testing, harness EMI
inductance analysis, power electronics functional testing, thermal system verification, quality assurance within eMobility and battery electric storage/power distribution systems.
Adept at adjusting work pace to meet changing client priorities and preferences.
Develops criteria for revision release.
Supporting a critical department committed to product release for battery electric energy storage and power delivery systems.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Design, develops, and implements hardware and firmware test bench procedures for systems design validation.
Understands and identifies certification requirements provided by project management or engineering team.
Capable of deciding what procedures are required to release revision and meet certification criteria.
Analyzes and investigates major software revision metrics, understands HV & LV system architecture key performance indicators for the given test requirement.
Defines design specifications and parameters for testing criteria.
Coordinates with hardware engineers to resolve hardware/software compatibility and interface considerations.
Interfaces with other departments to participate in specification, design, code, and test reviews.
Provides documentation of software performance through testing procedures.
Follows and contributes to improvement of the software development process, providing evidence through test historical data.
Provides timely hardware engr support and problem resolution.
Interfaces with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications; provides maintenance information relating to required maintenance for service organization.
Produces timely test status reports and projections.
Develops and tracks objectives and schedules.
Participates in project planning and timeline management.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B.
S.
) in related field or equivalent, two to four years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
